Because all, preachers, teachers and counselors must take general requirement courses, as well as, their main course work, therefore they qualify to sign up for Bethesda Christian Ministers & Counselors Fellowship, and meet the following requirements: 1. Licensed Ministers of the Gospel Receive 6-12 Months Training and License as Evangelist, Minister of the Gospel. Option #1 - Licensed Ministers Program (no experience - 12 months) Option #2 - Licensed Ministers - Preachers Program (Leadership; Evangelist; License; or Biblical Degree) 2. Ordained Minister of the Gospel (Evangelist) Receive training, possess a License (any organization), with leadership experience in a local fellowship or outreach. 3. Ordained Minister of the Gospel (Elder, Overseer) For those called to the pastorate, pastoral counseling, overseer of a church, ministry, outreach, have a biblical Master and MSC Biblical or Doctorate in Counseling Degrees with MSC Licensure, licensed minister. 4. Ordained Elder of Counseling This is a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.), or MSC Doctorate in Counseling and as a Ordained Minister of the Gospel, and will now be receiving their Licensure and/or Counseling Degree. This person is strictly going into leadership Counseling. 5. Certified Christian Social Worker This person completes through the Messenger School of Counseling Creation Therapy Certification and Phase I (Temperament Counselor). To assist Licensed Counselors, Pastors, Elders, Overseers, within a church or outreach ministry setting. (pending) 6. Chaplain Endorsement (pending) Those that have completed or are a candidate for the Christian Counselor Licensure Program, and posses a Master of Divinity or higher, and all other qualification for the organization they are desiring to be endorsed for. (pending) 7. Commissioned Minister of Counseling Those that successfully complete Counselor Licensure Program and are approved by the Presbytery with application through the Bethesda Christian Ministers & Counselors- Fellowship can qualify as a Commissioned Minister of Counseling. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LICENSED MINISTER'S SYLLABUS MSC/SACC 100 - Knowing Who God Created You To Be & OR MSC/SACC 110 - Knowing God Through Biblical Counseling Semester One TEXT BOOKS: 1. Created In God's Image (CIGI); 2. Pneumatology I/Gifts & Work of The Holy Spirit and Smith Wigglesworth on Spiritual Gifts Textbook (Part 1), Hermeneutics/Iinterpreting Scriptures. DESCRIPTIONS: (Degree not required) 1. CIGI (9 Weeks-Certificate) or Creation Therapy (15 Weeks-Certification) Creation Therapy are for Leadership and those desiring to become Christian Counselors - Students will receive a Temperament Analysis Profile/Arno Profile System, and a 7-8 page report that outline their Temperament/Soul (mind/How they think, will/How they make decisions, emotions/How they express themselves) The material gives extended information on the (5)Temperaments types: Melancholy; 2. Sanguine; 3. Choleric; 4. Phlegmatic; and 5. Supine. The Course are for Counselors, Ministers , Teachers, Social Workers, The School for Exercising Spiritual Gifts and anyone desiring to learn about human behavior. It looks at the Traits, Strengths, Weaknesses, and Needs of each Temperament/Soul in Inclusion (Intellect/Mind); 2. Control (Decision Making); 3. Affection (Emotions). All students take a personal temperament analysis profile, through the administered Arno Profile System (APS). GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: To have a clear understanding of what God meant in Psalms 139:13-16 about we being unique individuals, wonderfully and purposefully made. Psalms 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalms 139:15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Psalms 139:16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. That students may become knowledgeable of the Temperaments and therefore allow the Holy Spirit to: 1. Work freely in their lives, because this information and understanding that they are being perfected and matured, going from faith to faith (out of their weaknesses into their strength); and glory to glory (moving to be more submissive to God and His purposes and plans for their life). In understanding the temperaments, we learn how to approach individuals. COURSE DESCRIPTION: 2. PNEUMATOLOGY I/GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT Student will receive a 16 Spiritual Gifts Evaluation, A Gifts Analysis (the results of evaluation), and Gifts Completion Certificate (course complete). The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are essential to our spiritual growth and maturity, that are for all believers in the Body of Christ That with them the Holy Spirit will use us to pray and encourage one another. There are 7 Motivational Gifts, as states in Romans 12:6-8, in which all people are born with, and immediately have access to. The difference in its function (gifts) comes when we become a born again believer, than our motive becomes God’s motive. The results of our submitting ourselves to the leading of the Holy Spirit: 1. The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are activated within us, as listed in 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, the power of God to which without we can not do our Ministry with, and the Fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22,23 that we need to operate the Gifts of the Spirit; 2. The Ministry Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10), that all believers are endowed with, at least one, are distributed through us for the work of the Ministry, that the kingdoms of this world may become the Kingdom of our Lord and our God; 3. Ministry Gifts Office (Ephesians 4:11) that Jesus has placed in His Body/Church to perfect and mature the saints (Ephesians 4:12-16) that they may do the work of the Ministry (1 Cor. 12:28). GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. That the student will comes to have a greater understanding of the Gifts of the Spirit, the means and ways that God uses people through the operation of His power through these Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10/Power; 1 Corinthians 12:28 and Ephesians 4: 11/Ministry Gifts and Offices). 2. That the student may themselves become knowledgeable enough to administer to their counselee’s, students and staff gift analysis. COURSE DESCRIPTION: 1. HERMENEUTICS I/INTERPRETING SCRIPTURES This course takes the students through the discovery of rightly dividing the word of truth. The student find that since one’s doctrine stems from one’s interpretation of the Bible, and all interpretation is guided by various rules - hermeneutics—the science of interpreting Scripture and Exegesis, the scriptures interpreted according to the effective execution of apply certain Principles. This course also covers teachings on the Five- Fold Ministry (Ephesians 4:11) as related to Moses, according to the instructions from God to build the tabernacle, through the execution of precise building plans, accomplished through the Apostolic Anointing given him by God. (Exodus 18:20). By using biblical resources: lexicons, bible study software, concordances, dictionaries, commentaries, atlas, etc. Students come to recognize the importance of using those tools to gather background information, and that when the 5 Principles (Context, first mention, comparative mention, progressive and complete mention) the foundational principles used, will assure us of right application and able to teach others how to apply. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: That the student may come to understand how to utilize the Principles, which are actually rules of procedure, that the interpreter will be able to use as keys to open up the truths of Scripture. That the student may take the knowledge of the foundational 5 Principles: 1. Context; 2. First Mention; 3. Comparative Mention; 4. Progressive; and 5. Complete Mention Principles), as well as, pulling together the background information, and develop teachings and sermons, by using a pre-designed template of the 5 Principles given to the student that they may always have a guide to follow in preparing teaching, sermons and even in the counseling. 2. In the use of this knowledge with understanding that it becomes applicable in their methodology for the building up of others that are being prepared for the work of the ministry through them, be it teachings, preaching, mentoring, leadership or counseling.
